Uno, dos, tres, Quattro

Quattro Ristorante, is a conjoined twin with it’s sister restaurant Spice Klub being right next door and therefore sharing a kitchen.

Located in Mankhool these are the new kids on the block with fun, vibrant and modern interiors with super comfortable seating.

They open for lunch then close again before dinner service and offer some great business lunch deals which are extremely affordable.

We visited for a Friday lunch time and it was quieter than it’s sister restaurant next door. There is a water feature which runs through the middle of the tables and a strange mix of music playing faintly in the background.

The drink menu is split into 6 categories. We tried a berry mojito, a lemon iced tea and an apple basil cooler, all complete with a smoking feature thanks to dry ice. 🌬

For those who didn’t know Quattro is a fusion of Italian & Mexican cuisines but with a twist. It’s completely vegetarian!

The appetizers we tried included taquito cones, risotto balls complete with a syringe of chili oil, corn fritters topped with loads of guacamole and sour cream foam…

and also Mexican corn on the cob. Unfortunately the corn was a bit soft which could be due to overlooking, but the flavors were spicy without being too intense. It comes served with corn ice cream in a fried corn shell.

I loved the taquito cones! It’s a small cornchip shaped into a cone filled with beans, cheese, jalapeños and topped with small spheres of avocado ice cream. They come served in a shot glass containing tomato salsa. The combination of flavors and textures and hot and cold just works! I could of eaten all 4.

For mains, we tried a chefs special. A jalapeño rice dish with a peppery gravy styled sauce, with crisp grilled paneer and truffle flavored fries. The whole combination was weird and I wasn’t sure exactly where in fit in to the menu.

Although the ravioli rose stuffed with spinach and cheese was nothing to look at, the taste made up for it. The pink sauce was warm and creamy.

The pizzas here are served on super thin crusts and we enjoyed the upside margherita where the cheese is on the bottom and the pasta sauce is on the top.

We shared two desserts, a deconstructed tiramisu which my friend didn’t know about until she started eating and said “this tastes like tiramisu” in which we replied “it is” followed by a few chuckles. Not only was the presentation on point but the separated flavors once brought together really stood out on your palette. This was the highlight of the desserts for sure and I’d highly recommend ordering it.

On the other hand if you’re a massive chocolate fan over coffee then the hazelnut mousse and Belgian chocolate ice cream desert is for you. Although the mousse was denser than I expected. It’s garnished with caramel popcorn.

Quattro Ristorante is great for those who are looking for a fusion beteeen two cuisines. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable and the menu is extensive for being vegetarian only. Now my only question is how it compares to it’s sister restaurant next door?
