I must admit Dubai is a bit behind the times when it comes to healthy food trends. Açaí has been a favorite of mine and my friends for years now. We’ve eaten it all over the globe and finally multiple places in Dubai are catching on.
Below is a round up of where you can get your bowl of goodness.
1. Projeto Açaí – Dubai Marina
These guys don’t serve set bowls rather offer a bowl of Açaí and for you to pick our faves. The bowl is 29aed then the add ons start from 2.50aed. Their açaí is sourced direct from Brazil and is the best one I’ve tasted in Dubai so far.
The brain child of Paul Frangie, Hapi is a health food lovers heaven. Complete with a yoga studio upstairs and an indoor parkour for the kids. Their açaí bowl is priced at 36aed and comes with dried banana chips, berry compote, mango, cacao nibs, coconut and last but not least passionfruit.
On the bigger side in terms of portion size the açaí bowl at Craft Cafe has granola, dragon fruit, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, cacao nibs and fresh mint leaves. For 35aed it’s quite a steal!
Served in a very shallow bowl, their açaí bowl is topped with chia seeds, desiccated coconut, cacao nibs, pistachio, strawberries and blueberries. A little more expensive too priced at 49aed.
A small round bowl of açaí topped with lots of fresh fruits, including pomegranate seeds, kiwi and strawberry & bluberries with a small side spoon of granola.
Their açaí bowls come in two serving sizes, smal or large priced at 35/65aed respectively. Topped with berries and bananas and a dusting of peanuts and muesli.
This was the first place I tried açaí and the pre made combinations are a little on the high side priced at 44aed for the grande and 54aed for the xgrande. You can switch the combos or add more toppings at an additional cost.
Eat well, feel good.
